Hidden Heart
This bruising tongue; unpredictable, instant; a persistent fire it sets; blamed for wrongs from where within, the hidden heart express.
All, it reveals, a stripping bare, except with silence, it calms. Unannounced, it awakes as if by force driven wills, rekindling the vast awaiting storm.
This blazing tongue, a persistent bearer; what a spirited furnace it feeds! Blamed for wrongs from where within, unwilling hearts proceed.
The Preacher Says
The power in sin and sinful ways! The wages of sin, the preacher says.
Untouched
How can you learn from a mistake, if you don't know or accept it such? The wayward bull dies, the young lion cries and repentance sits still,
untouched.
Give Way
Everybody plays the fool!
Give way;
come on;
let someone else have a go.
How I Go
The Spirit speaks and carries me along, the storyline tells it so; on sore, weeping limbs, through eyes hung low, filled by the Spirit, I go.
Promised
This reassurance!
It’s like the clarion call; a storm surge against gale force events. Creation rings
and the thunder chorus shouts
the great confirmation
amen!
Walking
Walking this line, and it’s razor-like thin; traveling by hope,
straight-on, to the end.
Stand With Me
I need your strength to bless success, so that mercy isn't tired or forgiveness distressed.
Quick Now
Quickly, quick now; over here young fellow;
come on under this God umbrella!
